I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group (London, England) in Apr 2024
Interview
It was the worst recruitment experience I have had let alone worst experience within MBBs. Highly inexperienced, incompetent and racist recruiters at BCG.
The recruiter for Europe got in touch for the role on LinkedIn and askedto submit CV. I had a screening call then a first round interview with another HR. I am certainly qualified for the role, and my interview went well. But the HR only asked one question - why BCG or why this role, to which I obviously answered well having prepared it at length.
The HR was way younger than me, probably a 23 year old, hardly one year of work exp and totally inexperienced. She knew nothing about the domain (telco). Complete racist which is shocking for a firm like BCG and she rekected me eventually despite being a good fit. Didn't even have the audacity to personally reply over email stating reason, simply sent the automated rejection.
Several rounds and made it to the end, took a long time between rounds. Very engaging conversations with everyone, people were obviously very smart. Didn't end up getting offer (team retracted role)
