Difficult interview
Application
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at CA Technologies in Oct 2015
Interview
1) Telephone discussion with HR / Talent scout from CAT.
2) Face to face interview with HR / Talent scout and direct hiring manager. The hiring manager in my situation was based interstate, and I was expected to use Skype in their meeting room with a telephone on loud speaker with lots of off putting reverberation.
3) Face to face interview with a peer and a service delivery manager.
4) Face to face meeting with the state manager.
Interview questions [7]
Question 1
Tell us about your experience in Technical Change management?
Do you have any children or think that you want to have any children (related to concern if you want maternity leave, and very diplomatically stated although the question is in fact illegal)
After 4 rounds of interviews where all involved parties assured me they had approval to continue hiring despite being acquired by Broadcom, I was looking forward to a final in person interview. Nearly a week after my 4th interview, the recruiter emails me saying the position has been cancelled due to the acquisition.
Clearly, they have no idea what is happening and should stop interviewing hopeful candidates until they can determine the road map and future of the company.
