TLDR: Very nice people, straightforward interviews, and a team I would have enjoyed working with, but this process took several months and toward the end, I would have appreciated more transparent feedback about where we were at in the process. The blow was softened after a few weeks of not hearing anything, which prepared me for the worst in the final few days, but companies need to look at their processes to better ensure everyone's time is respected.
The good? The team seemed easy to work with and I can safely say I was never overpromised or lied to (may seem like faint praise, but fellow jobseekers know that it’s not).
The bad? The protracted process and communication toward the end of the process. I first applied and interviewed September 2024 but the position was placed on hold. It happens. I applied again in April 2025 when the position resumed, and then the process restarted and dragged for nearly three months. After three entire weeks of radio silence following a final interview, I was told I was not selected.
While I’m thankful that one member of the hiring team has offered to share my information with other contacts, this process ended up being frustrating and obtuse, which, while usually the default, was unexpected in this case. I truly wish everyone on this team the best of luck but it shouldn’t take three months to tell someone they’re not getting a job that they’re more than qualified for and first interviewed for almost a year ago. We all get busy, but it’s important to remember that the application/interview process is a candidate's first impression of your company culture.
