      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capgemini (Calcutta) in Sept 2018

      Interview

The selection process had four rounds in total. It started with an aptitude round conducted by CoCubes Test. The results were declared after few hours. People who qualified the aptitude round were called for the Pseudo Code Round. CoCubes also conduct this round. Selected people had to sit for the technical interview round. The qualified people called for the HR interview. 1) THE APTITUDE ROUND (CoCubes):- This test has three parts, it have 16 questions from General Aptitudes and 16 questions from Reasoning. Total 32 questions. Time allotted is 50 minutes. The aptitude questions basically came from Speed , Time & Work, Probability, Pipe & Tank, Train etc. and the reasoning questions comes from Encoding & Decoding, True False Logic, Relation, Series etc. After completing this part, you have to give an Essay Test. They will provide the topic. Topics are not very complex. My topic was “Is it necessary to limit number of students per Teacher to improve education quality”. The minimum word limit is around 140 and maximum limit is 184 words. PS: Try to avoid use of Backspace and spelling & grammatical mistakes in the essay writing. ** (From Total student around 110, around 45 students are being shortlisted after this round.) 2) PSEUDO CODE ROUND: - This round is consists of 25 questions. To be answered within 25 minutes. The 25 questions divided in two parts. Part 1: First 10 questions based on Data Structure Concepts. The questions covers theoretical as well as coding concepts. Topics like Time Complexity, B Tree, Stack, Queue etc. Part 2: The next 15 questions based on pure pseudo coding. A code block with logic will be provided you have evaluate it to get the output or find the error. However, you can attend any of the part at any moment. If anyone is little, bit weak in Data structure I would like to suggest that try to solve the pseudo code part first as the time is very short. Because if you first stuck at data structure your time will fly away. ** (From 45 students, 20 students are being shortlisted for the Interview rounds.) 3) THE TECHNICAL INTERVIEW:- In the Technical Interview we told to carry only the resume, no any other documents are required. I entered the room with greeting the Technical HR and he told me to have a seat. Then the conversion went on based on these questions: i. Tell me about yourself. ii. Then few minutes of talk on the projects, I have done. What are features I have used and why I used those in the projects? iii. Then he looked into my programming skills and started asking questions on JAVA. • What is an abstract class? • How can we use an abstract class? • What is method overloading? • What are the keywords Final, Finally, Finalize stands for? • What is the advantage of JAVA? • The four basic object oriented principles of JAVA and elaborately discussion with an example. • What is Constructor? iv. Lastly, he asked what latest technology you are interested or you are working on. Therefore, I explained my area of interest and have conversion on that domain for few minutes. v. Then he asked if I have any questions. So if you have any doubts regarding anything feel free to ask the interviewer at that this time. Then we shake-hands and he told me to wait outside for the results. My interview lasts for around 20-25 minutes. PS: Don’t be nervous in front the interviewer speak with confidence in clear voice. Even if you stuck at any point, take the time or ask for some pen paper to explain it properly. ** (From 20 students, around 17 students are being shortlisted for the Final HR interview.) 4) THE FINAL HR INTERVIEW: - In this round, you have to carry the documents like resume, all your mark sheets & any government ID proof. Originals for verification and one copy of Xerox for submitting. I enter the interview room with greeting the HR madam. She told me to have a seat. Then the conversion went on based on these questions: i. Tell me about yourself. ii. Family background. iii. Why should we hire you? iv. What are your long-term goals?
