I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2010
Interview
The interview process was very confusing; the recruiter kept forgetting to notify me or the interviewers of the right time, planning was all mixed up. I got two exactly the same interviews with all the same questions, while one of the parts / topics of the interviews mentioned before by the recruiter in the beginning, seemed to be forgotten in the process. Finally, I got a lot of very 'strange' questions, that didn't concern any particular knowledge, nor experience, but seemed to serve just to confuse me. So I was asked many times why I wanted to work for Google, but with this very suspicious style of asking it, as if I was actually hiding secretly not willing to work for Google.
I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Cisco (Bengaluru) in Sept 2024
Interview
First round was aptitude round with 2 coding questions and a few more questions from the subject that we're doing our degree in. The timing is limited. The whole session will be monitored
I applied online. I interviewed at Cisco (Washington, DC)
Interview
Short, as it did not proceed very far beyond initial talks on compensation. Contacted recruiter/feeder on LinkedIn. Heard back fairly quickly. They were frank about constraints on compensation package. Did not proceed to technical questions.
No pressure. Friendly. Met team members. Had lunch. great company. no so great compensation. Lots of initiatives. Lots of lazy heads too. Not so much to talk about. Great place to retire.
