      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Citi Bike (New York, NY) in Jan 2017

      Interview

They ask standard interview questions. Nothing is based on technical questions related to the tools you use. Anyone can apply to this job and will be trained for the job regardless of your background with bikes.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Citi Bike (Brooklyn, NY) in July 2016

      Interview

I filled out the application on the website, and was contacted about a week later to come in for an interview. I got a call from one of the managers, who asked about my general work availability (they were hiring for a seasonal, full-time job). He then scheduled a time for me to come into the shop a couple days later for the in-person interview.

      Question 1

The bulk of the interview was doing a couple basic tasks on a bike - taking a wheel off and putting it back on, removing and replacing the basket. The tasks were pretty straightforward for anyone who has worked on a bike at all (even very basic things), or probably anyone who is used to using wrenches. The interview portion was just the manager asking why I'm interesting in the job, and when I can start.
