There are four stages:
#1 HR screening call
#2 Director of Engineering and another Software Development Manager
(Most interesting of the series)
#3 Director of Product and a Software Development Team Lead
(Weakest of the series)
#4 Meet & Greet with the CEO
(Haven't reached there so can't say much but should be interesting)
Coosto decided / found me "overqualified" after interview #1, #2 and #3 for meeting their requirements on the job opening posted online. :)
At least this is what I am told over the phone by the HR.
I wish they told me the same excuse after the interview with the Director of Engineering and other Software Development Manager rather than putting me to the next stage.
Any hiring manager knows these interviews take time, one needs to spend time before the interviews to prepare as well.
This is a super bad outlook for an organization.
I would have accepted an honest answer and decent feedback.
HR also did not have much to say as she was not present in any of the interviews herself, so probably she is depending on what she is being told by the interviewers only.
Future candidates for this company should proceed with care.
