After an initial HR conversation, I met with the hiring manager for a scheduled 30‑minute interview. I prepared thoroughly and was looking forward to a structured discussion about the role and expectations. The hiring manager was friendly and clearly passionate about their work, but the interview format was quite limited. It focused on two broad questions—my background and interest in CCC, and my account management approach—after which the conversation shifted almost entirely to my own questions.
While I’m comfortable leading a discussion, this structure made it difficult to demonstrate the full breadth of my experience. A more guided interview framework, with targeted questions aligned to the role’s responsibilities, would have allowed for a more meaningful exchange for both sides.
Although I wasn’t invited to a second interview, I appreciated the timely communication regarding the outcome.
