The interview started with a 30 minute phone call with the HR recruiter. About a week after that initial phone call, I was asked to come in for an in person meeting with the hiring director. That interview was scheduled quickly. When it was scheduled, I was told that I’d receive location instructions prior to the interview (which was scheduled for a Monday). As of Sunday morning, I still hadn’t received instructions, so I contacted the recruiter who responded quickly with instructions. However, Monday morning, the day of the interview, I received another email stating I was actually interviewing at a different location. The in person interview went well. There was nothing surprising during that hour chat with two directors in the department. The following morning (Tuesday) I was notified that they’d like me to come back for a project day, which they wanted to do that Friday. Prior to the project day, I had a chat with the recruiter to discuss the approved salary range. I was told there wasn’t a range set, but was provided with the salary they’d be offering me. I was supposed to receive instructions for the project day, but those never came. I ended up politely rescinding my application due to the salary being low for the responsibilities with the position. I never received any further communication from the recruiter following my notification of rescinding.
