vThe interview process included an initial HR screening followed by a technical interview focused on SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backups, high availability and troubleshooting scenarios. They also discussed experience with production support, incident management and communication with infrastructure and development teams. The process was professional and technically detailed.

Question 1
How would you troubleshoot a SQL Server performance issue affecting a production environment?
Recruiter reaches out first for basic screening questions. I was asked about my experience, ability to commute to the office, availability, comfort with on-site M-F 8am-5pm. It was a 10 minute interview.
A VP requested a phone interview on Christmas Eve, confirmed the scheduled date and time, then they ghosted me. Weeks later, I am still shocked by the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism. I hope they understand how poorly this behavior from an executive reflects on their company.
