" ( i live 1200 miles away ) (DSU ) " this job can be a bit over whelming..your the most qualified, I think we need to get you up here to see if its a good fit for you , and get you back you back up here with your family " (me ) " we can make a trip " ( sounded like a done deal) .. being self employed , we turned down three good paying jobs to make the trip.. drove 1200 mikes, covered all costs our selves. met with them..interviewed and had lunch..advised during lunch that I was the most qualified, advised how hard it is to find qualified people for this kind of job ..3.5 hours visit..took a tour of the place.. advised later that they would be in touch next week to go over steps ..they had others to interview.. drove back home.. (1200 miles ) waited till mid week the following week.. again emailed to see if they had a sense of direction.. ( response ) we have chosen a different direction..thank you for your time.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DSU Peterbilt & GMC (Portland, OR) in Aug 2013
Interview
The hiring process and interview process was quick. Filled out and turned in an application with my resume and cover letter. Had a very informal interview with the service manager. Mostly about my prior experiences. One technical question and that was it. Had to do a urinalysis and physical. Filled out paper work and had the job.
