I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2013
Interview
I was flown to Atlanta without first having a phone interview. Very nice and professional employees. Consisted of 5 separate interviews each lasting 45 minutes. 2 people consudcted each interview. It was an even mix of behavioral and case study question. They were not particularily difficult if you have a good understanding of the airline industry.
Had applied to a similar role on another team earlier, which I didn't get an offer for, but they shared by resume over to this team. The recruiter reached out to set up an interview. Met with 2 different managers on a video call.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in Oct 2017
Interview
Overall was very straightforward as explained by earlier posts. I applied online and received an invitation for a hirevue video interview where I answered 3 general questions such as why Delta and imagine you are flying from X to Y, what factors would you consider for pricing etc. I was then invited to interview at the HQ which required travel from NY. I had a 45 minute interview with 2 team members (STAR format) with 5 behavioral questions that were all very similar. I then had a 45 min interview with the hiring manger where I performed an analytical exercise in addition to 2 brain teasers. No one from Delta contacted me about the position after the interview and I later checked online to see that I was not selected.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) in June 2015
Interview
I had one phone interview and was told at the end of that 20 minute interview that I would be hearing information to come in for an on-site interview. Two weeks later I had an on-site interview at the Delta headquarters with three different managers. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I had actually already booked a flight out of town for the first date they suggested, but they were very understanding and worked around that date. All communication was done over the phone, until just before my in-person interview, when I was sent more details about my "day at delta".
Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I felt like Delta genuinely was interested in getting to know me from the beginning of the process. I also felt like they were very up front as to whether or not they liked me...in no way was I "led on"...they made it clear that they were very interested in hiring me from the beginning and maintained that level of interest up to the day I got my offer. From what I have heard from other past candidates, if they want you, the process goes quickly (or as quickly as they can, which for me was a total of 4 weeks from first resume submission to offer letter). If you're not the one, they are in no rush to tell you.
