I had an initial screening call with the recruiter. She was so positive about my profile and suitability for this role, and told me she was excited to put me through to interviews. So we scheduled the first interview with the hiring manager. A couple of days after this the recruiter then emailed to say they she needed to reschedule the interview, so I went back with my availability and I never heard from her ever again....She completely ghosted me. Then I noticed that the role was gone from their careers page. The recruiter didn't even have the decency to let me know that they had either filled or closed this role, and she completely ignored my 2 emails following up. Over two weeks go by and then I receive an automated rejection email! Confusing to say the least. I have since spoken to someone else I know in my network who had the same experience with this company and recruiter for the same role, except that they had completed 4 rounds of interviews only to be ghosted. Such an unprofessional way to treat a candidate who has invested so much of their time in interviewing for a role. All candidates deserve basic respect, something that was really lacking here. A truly terrible experience that reflects EXTREMELY poorly on DoIT.
