      Regional Manager Interview

      9 June 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ECA (London, England) in Apr 2021

      Interview

The main issue was that the job advert did not specify the salary. They were asking for 3-5 years experience in Central London, but I later discovered they were offering below entry-level salary for the sector - they did say that they would consider upping the salary, but never got back to me and a rejection letter followed over 3 weeks later without mention of this. There was a distinct lack of communication from the start and the process took a long time. When I received the rejection letter, I was offered feedback upon request, but two emails and several weeks later, I have still received nothing. The first stage was an 'informal catch-up' but this was only referred to as an 'interview' in email communications, so it was a bit disappointing when I showed up. The panel didn't seem to understand the UK market very well, but that's understandable as they were in Australia. I was very surprised to be asked about international foundation degrees for domestic (not UKI) students. They were very friendly and made me feel at ease and although I was disappointed not to receive an offer, I suppose there were enough red flags not to care that much.
