I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Expedia Group in Aug 2015
Interview
Super disappointed for not even getting an onsite invite. I got contacted by recruiter who was extremely professional. Phone interview was scheduled for 2-3 weeks out. The position was for a software engineering manager position in SF while reporting to the director in Seattle. Well first off the interviewer, i.e. an API director called me 30 mins late, no apologies of any sort, just got into it. Overall her was pretty nice and the interview went really well, I was surprised why they didn't even call me onsite. To add insult to injury, the recruiter said they will keep looking for new candidates - without giving a more concrete reason of why. Sorry to say Expedia, that was just distasteful. I would even question the abilities of the director in that position - his questions and communication skills seemed way off at times.

I applied online. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Seattle, WA) in May 2024
Interview
The hiring process moved relatively quickly and was broken into three main phases. First was an HR screening to ensure alignment on the basics (role, salary, and culture). Next was a technical round with a team lead, which was challenging but fair, focusing heavily on real-world scenarios. The process concluded with a hiring manager round, which felt more like a mutual vibe-check regarding team strategy and long-term career growth.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Sept 2022
Interview
Different rounds happened like HLD, product understanding, people management, hiring manager etc.
One of the interviewer was sleepy and yawning throughout the interview process. That round was bad as the attitude of the interviewer completely put me off. Surprised to see such people working at Expedia.
I applied via linkedin. I got a call from recruiter. She was very arrogant and trying to teach me how to write my resume. After I realized that she wouldn't stop trashing me, I told her that my resume was reviewed by senior people from Google and Facebook. She immediately attacked my saying that then I should go and look for opportunity in Google and Facebook only. I felt insulted and was silent after that. It was at that very moment I decided not to pursue the opportunity with Expedia. First impression is lasting impression. And that was very bad for me as a candidate.
