I see that a lot ppl became Architects from SDE3 in a short period of time (<1 yr). Interviewers are not strong in Architecture. Not open to new ideas. I am an ex-Amazonian and when I explain an architecture with high scale, i could see that they are not able to understand it clearly and they already have some fixed solution in mind and are not open to new ideas. If they see any problems in a solution, they should point it out and give the candidate a chance to correct it, rather than simply rejecting a candidate.
I think it's high time, FK conducts training for interview panel on how to take interviews and improve the quality of Architects.
Even HR takes more than 1 month for interview process to finish, they are not fast, not well organized.
You clearing an interview depends a lot on the luck rather than on talent.
