I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Frank & Oak (Toronto, ON) in July 2021
Interview
The interview was very short (probably 10 minutes max). It was very standard in terms of what you can expect to be asked in a retail job interview, but still felt very casual and conversational.

Question 1
How do sustainable practices show up in your lifestyle?
I had a call with HR and then swiftly moved to the next stage for an interview with the creative team. The interview itself was so-so, mostly awkward, and after thanking the interviewer, I received a simple 'ok' as a response, and that was the end of it. I was supposed to receive a follow-up during the same week for a third interview (because someone didn't show up for the interview), and then, if everything worked out, a potential test. However, I never received any follow-up for this third interview. I've just kept seeing the same ad being reposted month after month. It's surprising to see that graphic designers are not being employed when what they are looking for seems simple. The HR was really professional, but the rest of the creative team was quite unprofessional.
I applied online. I interviewed at Frank & Oak (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Frank and Oak reached out to me for an initial interview, and we were in communication for over a week to schedule a call. Despite confirming a date and time for the initial interview, the interviewer failed to show up, and I never received a Zoom link for the call. I promptly followed up twice, but received no reply. This unprofessional behavior left me disappointed and reflects poorly on the company, especially considering the position was for a mid-level role. Throughout the process, I interacted with two individuals who appeared disorganized when it came to setting up dates and times.
