      Customer Happiness Agent Interview

      29 Dec 2019
      Anonymous employee

      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GoFundMe

      Interview

They have a very lengthy interview process, mainly because they want to hire people that a.) fit in well with the team/culture, and b.) have the emotional intelligence to handle all the aspects of the job. There are five "steps" to this interview process: 1.) Application questions 2.) Screening questions (writing exercise) **This includes setting up a test campaign. Many on Glassdoor complained that it was just a secret way for GoFundMe to make money, but that only happens if people contribute. So don't share your campaign - or better yet, set one up for a non-profit/charity you care about and if people donate, so be it!** 3.) Phone interview 4.) On-site interview with leads (which includes another short writing activity). This happens in two parts, with two different groups of leads. In between these interviews, they'll have you shadow an agent, probably so that the two groups of leads have time to connect with each other (is my theory). 5.) Final interview with department head

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at GoFundMe in Mar 2021

      Interview

The process took a very long time. It started with a test, there are many examples of the topics that were covered in the written text here on previous Glassdoor posts. After the written exam, I was contacted for a phone interview with a recruiter in the US. It was very short and I was delighted to move on to the next interview. Although I was expecting an interview, it was a remote test to evaluate my english skills. I didn't like that there were other candidates at the beginning of the call. It felt like they wanted candidates to know there were other people there fighting for the same job, and it made me feel very uncomfortable. The test was very complicated. After hearing I passed, I was even happier to move on to the next interview. It was all done remotely and I got to talk to some people in Dublin. The whole interview took more than 2 hours. I was exhausted at the end, but I thought that it went really well. There was a shadowing session and also an informal chat with a current employee. After this round, I was invited to the final interview. This was also supposed to be an informal chat, but this time there was only a person present, a manager. I don't know what happened, but I think this one didn't go as well because I was told at the end of it to wait at least 2 more weeks for an update. I didn't hear anything else from them, so after about 2 weeks I decided to send in an email to check in with recruiter. To my disappointment, I received a standard rejection email that left me feeling very cold. Thankfully, I had read other people's reviews here on Glassdoor that described a similar experience, so I wasn't completely unprepared. However, the disappointment I felt was huge as I really felt that the 2+ hours interview went really well and felt that the final interview would be just a formality. My disappointment was also increased by the fact that I had to write an email to get a response. I believe that if I hadn't, I would never have heard back from them. I would probably still be here waiting. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience, especially considering all the time that I took preparing for and participating in the interview process. If you decide to apply for this company, be prepared. It is a very long process, and there is no guarantee that it will end well for you.

      Interview

It's a somewhat long process, but well worth it! It starts with an online application, then a phone interview. If you get through the phone interview, you'll be interviewed in the office by 2 groups of 2 people.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GoFundMe (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2020

      Interview

I applied through their website. After more than one month, a HR recruiter contacted me and told me to answer the questions many people have already provided here. Once passed this test, I was scheduled for a video interview with the recruiter from San Diego. No more than 15 minutes, really quick. She is extremely nice and the interview is not complicated. I don't know how they decide whether you passed or not, they don't give any clue. I received an e-mail from her the following day to let me know I hadn't made it onto the next stage of the process.
