I had applied two divisions -Wealth management and Equity. Received phone interviews from both divisions, and the interviewers asked mostly behavior questions and did some background check. I got called back 3hrs later after my screening interviews from a lady from Tokyo office. They informed me to a second run interview in tis NY office. They have covered all the expenses including air fair and accommodation. I interviewed with three people who had just landed after a 14hr flight from HK. Two of them were extremely nice, but the last one showed little interests and wanted to end the interview early. I got almost no technical questions, but they asked me to tell them what do I think about the market and what is my preference. The only accounting related question was: How should in progress R&D be recorded, and how it will affect the merger and price. I had the feeling that they want to test on my knowledge of 2006 new SFAS 142 about amortize the cost instead of expense it.
