      Customer Service Specialist Interview

      16 Dec 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Greenhouse Software (Denver, CO) in Dec 2018

      Interview

I scheduled online by email, and another person called to conduct the interview. The interviewer sounded very scripted, he had little personality or excitement in his voice. I was disappointed in the interview, it was boring. None of MY questions were answered, the person was in NYC, not in Denver, so I couldn't get any accurate information about the Denver office. The interview felt impersonal, I can't say I am disappointed I didn't get the offer.

      Customer Service Specialist Interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Greenhouse Software

      Interview

This process took altogether a month and half from the day my materials were submitted. It started with a call with the recruiter, then a take home assignment, a call with someone on the team, and then an onsite interview. Everyone was very friendly and conversational in the phone interviews which made it comfortable. The onsite interview is about four hours long and consists of interviews with different people focusing on cultural fit, your experiences, etc. Everyone at the onsite was nice but with some of the people it came across as very forced and awkward. The reason I did not rate this as positive is because of the way you are treated if you are not given an offer. For one, the reason I was given was frustrating to hear because it was something that was clear from the day I submitted my resume so it felt as though I was being strung along this interview process for no reason. The recruiter who sent the rejection email offered to take some time to chat about the feedback and even after sending two emails, I never received a response. I feel like if Greenhouse wants to put up this front that they care about people and feedback and transparency, they should be true to that. At the end of the day, it feels like all that friendliness was a facade. That being said, I really did enjoy every interview and there were some awesome people that I got to interact with, which is why I ended up so disappointed by the lack of responsiveness.

      Customer Service Specialist Interview

      25 July 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Greenhouse Software (New York, NY) in July 2017

      Interview

I spoke with a senior customer rep and we had a great conversation during our interview. He literally said to me at the end of the interview "you're a shoe-in for the next steps of the process". I followed up two to three times with the recruiters and I have not had any response from them. I was really looking forward to having an opportunity to work at Greenhouse. It would have been polite to send an email to let me know if I am still being considered for the position or not. Transparency is an important factor when interviewing all potential candidates.
