I applied online. The process took 2 days.I interviewed at H&R Block (Anacortes, WA) in 01/05/2023
Interview
Went great! Need tested in order to proceed which one of the learning courses cost 149.00. If you are knowledgeable, you can take another test that just tests your knowledge of taxes and skip paying the fee. Very seasonal work in the beginning.

Easy process, the interview was simple . Question were more based around ability to do customer service tasks. Would not stress about it. The interview was scheduled a month out which was odd but that was the only concern.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day.I interviewed at H&R Block in 01/08/2022
Interview
It was a fairly easy interview. The interviewer was nice and all but it just does not seem worth the effort and pay. You have to take and pay for classes that are 8 weeks long all for $11 an hour. She did seem a bit pushy trying to get me to enroll but I could as easily work a retail which would be more stable and less work for more money. The amount of money made at this company does not seem like it fairly compensated employees. I told her I would have to review before making a decision.

One interview process. It lasted for an hour. I had to women to ask me questions via zoom. They talked about the pay structure and how would I be great access to the company. Both explained the onboarding process and how fun it was working at HR

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at H&R Block (Charleston, SC) in 01/10/2021
Interview
My interviewer was 10 minutes late to a 30 minute call. I had applied because the job description stated I needed to complete an 18 hour education requirement and when she asked if i had any experience on the call, and told her I didn't but was interested in the training described in the description, she stated it was a 71 credit hour course. So not 18, and during the call she had me navigate to their training website and gave me a "coupon code" so that I wouldn't have to pay for the course. State I would not be able to become a tax professional until I completed the course. The courses appear to be 45 hours altogether, but it felt appalling when she told me that the base pay was 11, and I could make upwards of 14 an hour. At the job I am leaving, at a supermarket, I made 13. It felt like an insult to be downgrading myself for a more mentally taxing job, with a company with a much higher profit margin. TLDR; I'm not taking a 45 hour unpaid course for a job I might not get. Good luck to HR Block.
