I applied online. I interviewed at HCLTech (Bengaluru) in Mar 2026
Interview
Attended a walk-in interview for 4+. The event was very crowded and felt unorganized. Instead of a face-to-face round, around 50+ candidates were grouped for a written test with JavaScript output questions.
Some questions seemed incorrect, which made the evaluation confusing. I didn’t clear the test even though my answers appeared correct. Overall, the process felt ineffective due to the large number of candidates, and there was no proper waiting area—many people had to stand for over an hour.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HCLTech (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2024
Interview
The interview process itself was straightforward—just basic JavaScript and React questions, along with some on performance optimization and hooks. But the absolute worst part was what happened afterward. Even though the interview went well and I nailed every question, they ghosted me for *three weeks*—not a single word of communication. Interviewers and recruiters push to schedule interviews at the drop of a hat, but when it's time to give post-interview feedback or a decision, they vanish for weeks. After all that silence, I finally got a rejection email with some weak excuse like, "We're moving forward with someone who more closely matches our needs." Total waste of time and effort.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HCLTech (Bengaluru) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process was good. I was asked to appear for 2 rounds. Both were technical and I cleared both. After a couple of days got an email from HR to submit documents. After I submitted the document, there was no communication from them. The vendor that reached out to me for the opportunity updated after few weeks that my profile is on hold.
