I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hana Kitchen
Interview

I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Hana Kitchen (Isla Vista, CA) in July 2014
Interview
Easy, with a student manager. You don't really have to wear anything professional. The manager will ask you for your schedule and resume. You don't need a cover letter or anything. Connection is key. If you know a worker there, you have a better chance in getting an interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hana Kitchen (Isla Vista, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
It was a casual interview held outside among patrons. Interviewer was dressed as if working shift, not necessarily as a typical professional interview. A lot of generic interview questions, nothing too pressing or challenge and therefore not too memorable. Got a callback receiving the job and nothing further was required.
