    Interview

I applied online and within a week I was emailed by HR Recruiter asking for a phone interview. The phone interview was scheduled for that same week, and was approx. 25-30 minutes. The phone interviewer asked about my previous work experience, and was really informative about the position details. I was then asked to have an interview via Zoom (a video call, similar to Skype or Facetime) with the support manager, which was scheduled for the following week. This interview was 30 minutes and the manager asked about my interest in the position and company, the manager was so nice and easy going and made any anxieties I may have had. I was then emailed asking to schedule another interview this time with 3 different employees, each interview was about 30 minutes. Everyone was easy to talk to and I felt at ease the entire time. The HR Recruiter was so great about being in constant communication, and that really helped me feel confident about the entire interview process. The entire process took about 2 weeks (from the time I applied online to being offered a position). I look forward to being a part of the HubSpot Support Team!

    Interview

We quickly discussed what led me to wanting a job a HubSpot and then shifted into salary. They have a set-in-stone number at $35K for customer support. That is absolutely insulting, especially in the tech industry and especially in Cambridge.

    Interview

First was standard HR phone screen verifying my experience... then I had to solve a technical problem in 3hours or less before coming on site. It was rest related and involved sort and recreating complex data structures in json. It was a hard problem I found, and I did not get past it. The HR person was really cool and emphasized that if I worked on my skills more they would still be open to working with me.

    Customer Support Specialist Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Cambridge, MA (US)
    Declined Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA (US)).

    Interview

Had an alumni from my school submit my resume during their March hiring and got a response within a few days to set up a quick phone call. Typical questions asking how I found out about the position and why I was interested. At the end of the call she said I moved onto the next round which was a video interview with a demo. The tasks I was asked to do were very simple. Later that week I got an email saying I moved onto the next round, which was an in person interview. Met with 3 different managers who were all super nice. Definitely harder interview questions that I really had to think about. Overall enjoyed the process!

    Business Development Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (New York, NY (US)) in May 2018.

    Interview

The process was good. Had one interview with HR, phone interview with hiring manager, role and Face to face. The overall process was quick. What I valued in HubSpot a lot was not been showcased. The HEART culture is not seen. I personally felt that they’re faking it outside to get the high rated stars. With all reviews in Glassdoor I had high expectations for HubSpot which was lost in the face to face meeting. The questions were repetitive and got nothing to test with the skills. Random and repeated I Willy’s say. They judge people immediately and do not value the skill set they’ve go. One the interviewer was very rude and doesn’t fit to their culture. I wonder how that fits their HEART culture. Disappointed maximum as I have put heart and soul in the preparation. Feedback was given only when asked and Lame one though. I still love to work for them but not again with bad experience though.

    Interview

This was probably my favorite interview I've ever done. The online screening was an interesting problem. If you do not solve this, they do not follow up. Then they had a couple of phone calls to get acquainted with the recruiter to show my interest in the company. Then the final round was two- 1 hour- interviews with various engineers.

    Interview

Interview process consisted of 4 interviews. 2 introductory interviews, a role play, and one in person interview. The two introductory interviews were relatively easy and were more a get to know you type feel. The role play was challenging but do able if you put the time in to prepare for it. The last interview was with 5 different people for 30 minutes each. Total interview was about 2 and a half hours

    Channel Consultant Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA (US)) in April 2018.

    Interview

I originally applied to the Culture & Experience Coordinator position through an employee referral in March 2018 but did not receive an offer. While speaking to the recruiter on my feedback call (love that they do these!) I inquired about a Customer Success Manager position that was just posted. She told me that someone else recruits for that position and that she would reach out to her. By the next business day she put me in touch with the recruiter Johanna Fleming who suggested I apply for the Channel Consultant role.

I had a 30 minute phone interview with Johanna and then scheduled another 30 minute phone interview with one of the managers. Both interviews were very conversational and were focused on getting to know me. A week later I came into the Cambridge headquarters for an onsite interview with 5 members of the team. I was given a case study to prepare before my interviews that I discussed with one of the managers. After my interviews I had another phone interview with Kate Walsh, VP of Global Partner Services, which was quick but was used to get to know me and why I wanted to work at HubSpot. The next day I received the offer and gladly accepted!

All in all, the process was timely, transparent, and very professional. I want to give a shout out to Johanna for being awesome during this process and providing me with loads of insight and advice!

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Boston, MA (US)) in April 2018.

    Interview

Applied through the company website and was invited to submit a webcam interview. The webcam interview was relatively easy as HubSpot asked several questions just to get to know you better. Then I was invited to a phone interview with the recruiter and she asked some questions regarding why you want to work for the company and why sales?

HubSpot was very diligent on getting back to me and keeping in touch. Thought I did relatively well on the interview process and felt the phone call went smoothly, but unfortunately the company didn't go forth with my application with the hiring manger.

It would have been helpful if HubSpot provided feedback as to why they don't go forth with my candidacy as that would have been better than just being rejected and not knowing why.

The interviewers could have been more specific surrounding what type of answers they were looking for as well.
