Normal phone interview for the first 15 minutes, Near the end I asked my questions about the organization and he got very defensive and seemingly annoyed. He said he would follow up with more information and never heard from him again.
I applied through university. I interviewed at HumCap
Interview
The interview process is long and it's meant to be that way. They are a smaller business and ensuring a good fit all around is something of value to them.
It's best to continue to follow up with each step of the interview process/send thank you notes after interviews. If this is not your personal style (sending thank you notes and communicating interest in the job post-conversations), this is probably not the company for you.
HumCappers thrive on communicating with each other, as the teams (and company) are small in scale, but growing. There are lots of upward mobility opportunities if you get in quickly and show you can thrive in the environment!
I recommend getting in touch with a recruiter there to see how to get ahead in the process, and express interest in the company, and you'll be good to go!
The interview process is easy going and conversational, it's best to be honest about your career goals and intentions, and talk about salary expectations. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and bring a list ahead of time.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HumCap (Plano, TX) in June 2021
Interview
The interview process was not hard, but it's lengthy and lasted a couple weeks. They were unorganized from the very first call. The owner's wife scheduled a phone screen with me and called me while she was trying to take her son to the doctor's office.
I then had to schedule two calls with the owner and reach out to the VP to schedule an in person interview myself. I was also required to connect to multiple employee's linked ins.
Before your in person interview, they require you to watch multiple videos that have a duration of 2 hours total just to give you a "glimpse" of what recruiting is like. You also have to take a 40 minute personality quiz.
At the in person interview, they have you shadow a recruiter and review real candidate resume's for reqs they're trying to fill. Then you must choose a few candidates to call like you're a recruiter for the company.
The VP then requested to schedule a call with me a 1.5 weeks after my in person interview. He never called, I reached out to him and he called me back about 30 minutes late for our call.
I went through this lengthy and unorganized process, was told I was going to receive an offer and then they ghosted me. They put all the responsibility on me as a candidate to schedule all these calls and my own interviews just to not follow through with their offer. I feel they did not respect my time the way I did theirs and I'm really disappointed and annoyed that they ghosted me.
