I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ICF (Boston, MA) in Jan 2010
Interview
I was called in for an interview a week or so after I applied for the job. I interviewed with two people in person and two on the phone. The interviews were actually fairly easy. I got asked pretty standard questions about my work habits, and nothing about my knowledge on the type of work that the particular division did. The rest of the time the interviewers talked about how great ICF is.

Question 1
The "elevator pitch", which luckily got interrupted by the interviewer when I said something that intrigued him.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ICF in Apr 2023
Interview
Two interview rounds. The first interview was more about getting know each other, interests, the team. The second interview was with more senior staff members, a bit more on talking about technical abilities and interests, followed by a case study writing assignment. The assignment took 2.5h and was adequate for the level that I applied for.
The process took a long time. Sometimes I did not hear anything for several weeks and had to chase them, other times they were super responsive and called me spontaneously to discuss expectations. Overall positive and friendly, but at times inconsistent!
Panel interview with multiple people. Lasted two hours. Panelists were nice and professional. Described the position, asked a series of about 10 questions, asked about interest in topical area of project and technical skills.
