      Appeals Officer Interview

      16 July 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IRS (New York, NY) in July 2020

      Interview

Just completed this interview. Do not believe that I will be hired. The most negative interview experience I ever had. At one point I were about to stop the conversation and walk away. Phone interview, panel of 4. Most of the questions were very vague, next to abstract. After such a ridicules interview I should think again if I want to work for an organization that ask such a nonsence... Several question in format "In your view, what is the hazard of litigation and how to...", " describe the challenging situation and how you deal with it", "what is the strength of your verbal and written communication", "you have 100 cases: how do you set priorities for your work...", " what great skills you can bring...". So, while for a recent grad this questions may appear to be just 'OK', for a professional they sound like an dialog between two idiots...
