1. 30 minute screening with recruiter
2. 45 minute interview with hiring manager. Asked some basic iOS-specific questions, questions about unit testing, how to plan projects and work with stakeholders, FDA compliance/documentation overhead Which I'm used to since I worked with other medical device companies),
3. 3-hour panel interview with 4 different engineers. Live coding challenges. One was a basic algorithmic question with modulus math, a simple SwiftUI challenge, and a state machine problem.
Steps 2 and 3 all involved employees located in Mexico. This was my first red flag because why would they be recruiting for a more expensive US-based hire if they already have an established team down there?
I passed all the challenges and the interviewers appeared satisfied but then the recruiter I was working with ghosted me. I’ve now noticed the same position has been re-posted multiple times over the last few months. Therefore, I'm convinced they're not actually hiring for this role and these postings they put up are fake.
