I received an e-mail from an employee in response to my application on Intel's website for a graduate internship in hardware engineering. I scheduled a "1 hour" phone interview with him. I didn't have an in-person interview since the internship was in a different state. He described the pre-silicon validation internship and what his group does. During the interview, I was asked questions about logic design, computer architecture, and validation. The interview went fairly well even though I could not answer every question that he asked. I was asked if I could commit for a 6-month internship and I said that I could. I was then asked for the exact dates that I could start and end the internship on. I did not hear anything back from him until I got a phone call from another Intel employee with details of their offer for the internship.
