Initial phone interview 2 virtual interview with VP and Director of Software Engineering Physical interview in office with CTO, Team Leads etc Was asked to do a coding exam on a google doc

I was contacted by one of Internet Brands' recruiters. I had three interviews with them. The first interview was an HR screen over the phone. The second interview was a technical screen performed over the phone with one of Internet Brands' developers. I passed the technical screen and had an in person interview scheduled. When I went to the in person interview, they had me meet with 2 of the developers from the team I would be managing. The conversions went fine I thought, but somehow it was decided that I shouldn't interview for the Manager of Software Development position I was supposed to be interviewing for. This was done even though I never even spoke to the hiring manager. I had only up to that point spoke with 2 developers and an HR person while at the Internet Brands office. They then decided I should interview for a different position, which I clearly wasn't prepared for, since I was interviewing for a management position. The portion of the interview went poorly, plus I was tired by that time since I had been there for 4 hours already. Obviously I never heard back from them.
