    Software Engineer() Interview

    Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (New York, NY (US)).

    Interview

I applied to JPMC through a Referral. Took around a week to receive an update from them. Was asked to complete a Pymetrics Test (If you have already given the Pymetrics test in last 365 days, you need not give it again for different companies. All you need to do it submit the results to the company). It is kind of a psychometric test which consists of 12 games. Pretty easy. Try to browse more about it on Google.
After submitting, I got a link to an Online Assessment in 15 mins. The Online Assessment was held via CodeVue and consisted of 2 coding questions and 2 video recorded questions (Need to explain the approach we followed while writing the code in the 2 coding questions). Also, consisted of 4 MCQs which asked me about my experience with various Programming Languages like C++, Java, Python, etc. I have listed down the coding questions I was asked below and these questions are quite repetitive in every JPMC online examination.
Later, after completing the Online Assessment (Duration: 90 mins) , I was sent a form (after 7-8 hrs) that needed more details like location preference, etc.
I am still in the process and am waiting for after-results or interview calls (if selected) for the further rounds.

    Interview

Very structured with a number of interviewers asking questions ranging from culture and fit to more technical questions. Some consulting type questions like how many windows are there in NYC just to test how you think.

Standard investment banking interview process, initial call with recruiter followed by super day - behavioral, then technical questions. Need to be able to walk through resume well and understand ins and outs of valuation

    Interview

It was a pretty easy process. First a resume then logic games round and then a coding challenge as well as Hirevu questions. The final step is submitting an application update and doing an in-person call

Super long exhausting process at least for this role and feedback and further interview scheduled were very slow , no proper feedback either could be from JPMC it self or recruiting team.

Three one on one interviews with managers in the operation space. Back to back to back, very friendly inquiring mostly about why you are interested in the position and your background in the finance world.

I applied online. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan.

    Interview

Multiple initial screening calls with recruiter/HR, multiple rounds of video interviews with the team, management, and associated teams. Formality/structure of each interview was dependent upon the interviewer. Overall process was 3-4 months from submitting my application to offer.

I interviewed at Morgan Stanley. You will be asked a series of 2 questions on HireVue. You will have 90 seconds for each response and one chance to rerecord. 30 seconds of preptime in between

    Interview

Smooth, and extremely communicative on behalf of the company. The questions weren't anything I wasn't prepared for and interviewers were respectful and intriguing. If you know your stuff and focus on some quantitive questions and analytical thinking you'll do fine. I had a referral from an MD so I assume that helped a bit.
