I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at John Deere (Milan, IL) in June 2023
Interview
The interview process was very straightforward. The first round was focused on my background and experience, more of a general conversation to get to know me. The second round was framed in a way that required me to answer using the STAR method. There wasn’t any coding or highly technical assessment involved. Both rounds were one-on-one interviews, not panel-style. One aspect I really appreciated was that they also provided feedback on my interviews during the final call which I found very helpful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Be very well prepared with the STAR method. Most of their questions were situational or behavioral, and they really expected me to structure my answers using the STAR format. They asked several of these types of questions, so it’s important to practice responding that way.

Interview
very formal, STAR style questions. No technical questions really, just explaining past experiences. Be prepared to answer in front of more than one person, Deere sometimes interviews with 3 other people questioning you as well.

I went through the full process, which included one HackerRank assessment, a phone screen, a behavioral interview, and a technical interview. Overall, I had a really positive experience. Each step felt fair and well-structured, and the interviewers were all professional and approachable.
