The interview process was very straight forward. Jon wants to know if you can do the work or if he can trust that you can learn to do the work. His expectations are very clear -- there is no moving goal post for the job you are doing. It doesn't feel like you need to jump through hoops to succeed in the interview, you just need to be authentic, honest, and ready to go to battle for clients.
You can tell clients are the number one priority at this firm, as it should be. The firm's culture is professional, passionate, and understanding. Not once did I feel shamed for not knowing an answer or having the perfect background, it only mattered that I was willing to do the work to learn and meet the standard of quality work promised to clients.

Question 1
Is there any case that you would be uncomfortable working on? (It is a criminal law firm, there will be criminal cases.)
I applied online. I interviewed at Jon Katz (Fairfax, VA) in June 2023
Interview
The full-time legal assistant was amazing. I had a great phone call with the legal assistant. I was very excited about the position and then I had an in person interview with Jon Katz. It was horrendous. He was very rude and condescending and spoke to me like I was 5 years old. I do not recommend anyone to interview with this attorney and if you do be prepared to walk out because of his disgusting behavior.
