The process took 1 week. I interviewed at KFC (Peoria, IL) in Apr 2012
Interview
She asked scenario related questions like "What would you do if...?" The interview was somewhat stale but I tried to lighten things up by adding some of my humor into my answers. We also role-played. She was a customer, and I was the cashier. I simply said, "Hi, how are you, I can help you whenever you're ready." I honestly expected questions like, "Why do you want to work here?" and "What do you have to offer this company?" .. but this was one of the easiest interviews I've gone to. Just be prepared to answer situational questions, be friendly, and know how to handle customer problems.

Question 1
What would you do if there was a line of angry customers and the person infront was taking a long time to order?
It’s was a great experience and they were very nice and allowed me to answer their questions fully. I was very impressed with the upkeep of the store. Everyone was polite and the drive thru experience was pleasant after the interview.
Simple, did one interview and was offered role. Staff were friendly and asked competency questions (what would you do if customer did x etc).
Took about a week to hear back.
