I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kaizen Gaming (Athens, Athens, Attica) in Oct 2024
Interview
My experience with the interview process was highly disappointing. After reaching the final stage and receiving an offer, I found it to be significantly lower than my salary expectations—not only lower than what I had communicated but also below my current compensation. It felt entirely unreasonable to go through such an extensive process only to receive an offer that was not competitive or even open to negotiation.
This reflects a lack of respect for candidates’ time and qualifications. It gives the impression that the company prioritizes filling roles with candidates who fit their budget rather than valuing individuals’ skills and contributions. Furthermore, the handling of leadership positions should be far more considerate and professional.
If the company views itself as a top-tier employer, this approach is far from aligned with that image. A more transparent and respectful process would benefit both candidates and the company in the long run.

The first round is an introductory call. If you meet the requirements, you move on to a second technical interview with two senior tech leads. In my case, I was interviewed by a Level 2 engineer and a Principal Software Engineer. Expect to be challenged with technical questions, followed by a live coding session.

The coding tasks aren’t focused on complex algorithms but rather on implementing low-level JavaScript concepts, like Promise.all. Some CI/CD questions. As this was something they needed for the role.

Interview
I didn’t apply for the job, they approached me from LinkedIn. However, after 2 months and 4 interviews, 1st HR, 2nd & 3rd technical and 4th with HR and Senior Tech management, they vanished in thin air. They didn't even show the professional courtesy to respond with an email. Also, during the 4th interview, I sensed a subtle ironic attitude. My advice for other candidates, don’t even bother…
