I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LivePerson (New York, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
First Round Phone Interview was with the hiring manager, discussion on my experience and what liveperson does. He was speaking like as if liveperson is the end of the world, haha.
Next was onsite with 2 so called senior engineers back to back, in my mind I was laughing at them because they had 0 experience of interviews, all they knew was what they do at work. I can bet they both can't even write a basic sorting algorithm.
I felt the whole focus was on "Can you be a good Yes Boss kind of employee". No real coding questions asked and horrific answers were given when I asked in detail about their application and challenges they are solving.
Last round was with the hiring manager, and trust me he is on a different level. I was expecting some sort of algorithmic questions but his focus was "We do this, we do that, can you handle it". He also asked about my salary expectation and I felt he had already decided the max amount for me.
While I was going out, I could hear loud discussions in some language, possibly Hebrew (I could be wrong) because of too many people from Israel, but gosh, it irritated the hell out of me. I took no time in declining the offer.
