I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lumentus (New York, NY)
Interview
At first interview which was to be held with the two owners of the agency, the senior partner didnt make it - just blew it off. The other partner conducted the interview but it was clear he could do nothing without his senior partner's input.
So they asked me to return again on another day, which I did. The senior partner was older, had built up and sold an agency in the distant past and it became clear he was on his way out, wasn't overly interested in growing the business, didnt want big clients and ddint really want gerowth. Why seek a rainmaker new bizdev exec then? This came more from the junior of the two owners, who said they wanted growth but manageable growth.
Both partners came on very strong, like they wanted to hire me. They just needed me to meet one more senior member of the team and they'd call me back the next day to schedule.
Then....silence. No calls, no emails. They didnt respond to the recruiter who set me up to meet with them and they didnt respond to me.
What total jerks....rude and unprofessional.
Based on my experience this agency will remain small for the foreseeable future.
