I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MIT (Boston, MA) in June 2015
Interview
I had 2 interviews. One was general and one involved giving a presentation on my PhD work. The process was very quick and the main decision was the PI so I didn't worry about anything else.
a smooth process but very difficult, so people needs to be careful on the questions and be very well prepared for the interview. I enjoy the conversation with the professor and the communication with the HR, I think it is very nice
Very long process, which is understandable since it is among the top universities in the world. But it is a one-way street in terms of communication. No good feedback on performance. Some people can come off as rude instead of being polite and direct.
The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MIT (Cambridge, MA) in Feb 2021
Interview
The interview was a series of one on one meetings with the professor that lasted over a course of two to three months. It was an arduous process to convince the prof to hire me and allow me to continue my project that I have done in my phd program.
