Before the interview, I asked what the salary range was as it was not stated and was informed that it would be discussed during the interview. The whole interview went well, in my opinion as I pretty much ticked all the boxes to be qualified. After the interview, I asked the question again, and the interviewer asked what my expectations were instead. So I replied, and immediately I can feel the mood change. As it turns out, the salary range was way below than what is to be expected for a managerial role. Even then, I still said I was willing to negotiate and flexible based on other compensation as I was really interested in the role. The interviewer said she would get back at the latest in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, none of my follow-ups were replied to after the 2 weeks. It was not a good experience.
