This company plays with you and waste your precious references!! - stay away!!! My onsite interview went very well and the COO, who was the main person conducting the interview, who looked totally down-to-earth repeatedly said in the end:" I will contact you by the end of the this week." The next day he said the same thing in his email.
Then nothing happened. I never heard back from him that week.
The following Tuesday, he sent me an email, very politely, asking for my references. I thought: "oh ok, that was just a little delay. " I gave him my references' number, including one of the Walt Disney big boss. I called my Disney boss to let him know. same as my other one.
The next day I received his email saying "thank you but we extended offer to someone else." I actually just received his email and he was like" we asked several candidates for their reference call and ended up with one." No, I believe as a candidate, we don't want our references to be called just for your purpose to further evaluate. Either you want to move forward with me, then you call my reference, or you don't. Because I can't have people call them everyday, if all the companies are like you. That's just selfish, and selfish.
