The first interaction was via phone when I was waiting for an important family call and mistakenly answered it. I wasn't looking for roles nor had been applying anywhere. If the call had not come from the actual company's internal HR recruiter who informed me she was asked to contact me directly (versus a random headhunter) I would have said I'm late and to email me. She discussed a higher level role that would give me starting responsibilities I would otherswise not see for a couple years (per current co min time rules). I then had two in person interviews with the hiring manager and then a formal phone then written offer from the HR person who first called me.
