The process right from the beginning was bad. I was reached out by the Hiring Manager. And all subsequent interview scheduling was done by their AI Scheduling Assistant. There was never any HR or Recruiter interaction at all. The Hiring Manager interview briefly went over my skillset and what they were looking in the ideal candidate. It went OK. I passed and the AI assistant scheduled for the second round. Second round of Technical Interview was OK too. They on the spot asked me to come up with a solution of a Leetcode problem. Other questions were generic OOPS concept. SQL query writing, testing concepts, Selenium, POM, Data Handling of Web Tables etc. Went well. And the AI assistant scheduled for the 3 round of interviews. --3) The third round was with what they call ELT - higher positioned folks. This was the worst interview I had in my career. No one in the virtual interview showed their face. I was the only one. I was talking to myself. The questions they asked were standard and I explained based on my experience. There was this guy who probably was a budding developer and he asks so lame questions and could not understand how things work. He was just prepared to make sure the interviewee is bad, doesn't know anything and he is the superior person in the panel. Very unprofessional. I knew where the interview was going. None of my answers were accepted . I took it easy. No matter how well you do, there are people out there who sabotage due to their position and ego. I would not recommend a company whose employees do not have basic interviewing etiquette and acknowledge potential candidates. There is no post interview feedback either as I never got to email thanking for the opportunity. Everything was with AI assistant. The Hiring Manager did not respond at all.
