Interview
Lengthy full day interview process. Day started at 9am for the initial meet and in-person interview that lasted about 2.5 hrs with multiple manager positions. Followed by a 30 minute lunch break in their cafeteria area, which was impressively nice. After lunch I had the rest of the day until 5pm to model 3 products using Solidworks.

2 part interview process. A McMaster-Carr recruiter contacted me after applying with a resume and cover letter.
1st interview : In-person interview was scheduled and met with 4 different heads of departments : CAD Design, Graphics, Publishing, and General Manager. The interviews were back to back, took about 2.5 hours, and were very friendly. Lots of repetition as you are telling each person individually about yourself. I brought my portfolio to show my working was well received.
2nd interview : CAD design test. They gave me 2 products to model, and one had to be modeled in different dimensions. The test was difficult if you aren't very knowledgeable about mechanical part accuracies. You are given a whole work day to complete the test with a lunch break.
