Experience was very bad.
Firstly, I was informed that the round would be an introductory conversation and questions about past projects. However, it turned out to be a DSA-focused technical round. HR should notify this properly.
Secondly, I found the interview experience challenging in a way that didn’t feel collaborative. The interviewer was quite unapproachable and dismissive of clarifying questions, simply responding with “you have to think.” While I understand that interviews are meant to test problem-solving skills, some basic direction or clarification can go a long way in making the process more constructive and less discouraging. 2 questions were asked, both were answered but he was not satisfied with solution and was not telling that whats going wrong and didnt provided any cases which can fail.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Array based 2 questions, second being followup of first.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Meltwater (Montreal, QC) in June 2014
Interview
Was pretty casual - questions were more based around past experience. They were looking more for a cultural fit as it would be a small team. First interview was with one team - second was one-on-one in person with future manager.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Meltwater (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
One telecon
and then in person by 3 guys in onsite (which may be different now)
It was with group of five people onsite after phone round with some guy
The panel was nice and cool and they made me relax but dont judge this would be the case always because you may get different set of people
