I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Michaels (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2012
Interview
I was recruited for my position by a store manager, who approached me at my then current job. I called her to set up and interview and quickly met with her and discussed what I wanted in a job and what she could offer. She then suggested as a candidate to another store manager and I had a second interview with another store manager, which went well. A couple weeks later I got a third interview with yet a third and then finally with the District Manager. On my fifth interview, I was offered a job, finally! Geeesh! Phew!
Easy interview process, met with multiple people, was able to ask questions, got a tour of the store and explained what I would be doing if I got the job.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Michaels (Holly Springs, NC) in July 2023
Interview
The interview was the easiest interview I’ve ever had! They asked me 3 questions. They were short staffed so I was hired on the spot. Interview took about 5 minutes.
Very casual one on one interview. Moved up within the company to the current position I am at now. It can be hard to get a management position without working there prior. From my experience the store manager is the one to conduct interviews.
