I applied through university. I interviewed at Morningstar (Chicago, IL)
Interview
It was relatively easy- I had a group case study in the morning, followed by four 30-minute long behavioral interviews with senior members of the company. There were no questions on my research, but they really looked for teamwork and leadership skills.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Morningstar (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2022
Interview
Pretty straightforward, the most important thing is to keep up with the news and follow what's going on in the world. Living under a rock won't work here. Come with your opinions and your confidence.
I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Morningstar (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2020
Interview
Applied through school's career site. First round was a web-cam interview, three/four questions, all behavior, you had enough time to prepare for each. a week later, I received a skype interview invitation, and you could select your favourite time slot. I interviewed with a sales lady who worked there for over ten years, all behavior questions. A week later, I received the invitation to onsite. I chose to on site a month from then.
The onsite experience was very good. In the morning, I had four backtoback interivew with their senior employee. all very conversational, nice people. all behavior. In the afternoon, candidates were grouped to do a presentation, the case was sent to me 5 days ago, you got enough time to prepare. After that, hr will show you around the company. And the superday was over then.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
first round: why morningstar,
second round: proud experience, conflict, teamwork experience, what would you do if you feel bored about a project.
superday: why morningstar, leadership, work under pressure, conflict... all behavior.
I would say prepare your stories under each category, you would be fine. No tricky question to challenge you.
