I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NIH (Bethesda, MD) in Mar 2019
Interview
It was a typical postdoc interview, which I gave my research talk to people from PI's lab and had one-on-one conversation with each group member.
Talking with PI about potential projects.
The interview process was overall fairly easy. The interviewers were friendly and the conversations were tailored to research interests, goals and experience. The process began as a panel interview followed by one on one interview.
The HR interviewed me and asked questions one by one. One day, one person. A total of 8 HR interviewed me, and each person talked for one hour with me, so I spent 8 hours.
