I recently interviewed for an IT Recruiter position at Nestle and unfortunately, the experience was far from ideal. It was clear that the interviewers had minimal knowledge about the role I was applying for, and the questions asked were not aligned with the job description.
Additionally, I was interviewed by individuals with significantly less experience than myself, which made the interview process feel unbalanced and unprofessional. It also seemed that my CV had not been properly reviewed prior to the interview, as none of my relevant qualifications or experience were addressed during our conversation.
Overall, the interview lacked structure and relevance, leaving me questioning the preparation and seriousness of the process. I hope Nestle can improve the quality of their recruitment and interview process to ensure that candidates are given a fair and meaningful assessment.
The company needs to be more mindful when selecting interview panels, ensuring that interviewers are knowledgeable and experienced enough to properly assess candidates. One of the most disappointing aspects of this interview was the time allocated—it was only scheduled for 30 minutes, whereas most interviews typically last 45 minutes to an hour with other companies. When I inquired about details regarding the job, the interviewers mentioned they had other meetings, which felt rushed and unprofessional.
