Nodes & Links interview questions

Invited me in an interview and kept asking meaningless questions like why I studied CS or why I worked in other companies. The CTO who interviewed me had clearly no intention to hire, they just do interviews for fun. Didn't ask anything for my rate range or in general we didn't discuss anything that would make sense for a first interview. Gave me a take home assessment, just some random data without context, which also I had to send two emails to get them right. I worked hard for a whole day, delivered every required task and we had a discussion, after which they rejected me for no apparent reason. Didn't gave me time to ask questions, and never explained what the data was about while they insisted why I picked those elements to present the data. I was replying every questions correctly while they kept being not happy with so they had a reason to reject me after. They said they would have an internal meeting to decide which was funny because they seemed they didn't want to hire in the first place. I was so tired and mentally exhausted by the whole procedure. They were planning to ghost me of course, so I had to ask with a follow up email for their decision. Never ever devote time for an interview with them, they don't hire. They just playing around like amateurs, wasting professional's precious time.

The company was quite confused about what they really expected from the position I applied for, which led to unnecessary steps and contradictions along the way. In the end they could have given me the decline earlier, if they knew what to look for.
