Hi there - thank you for sharing your experience interviewing with us at Occasion Brands, despite the circumstances.
Greg Hall here, I'm the "guy from corporate communications" and while corp comms encompasses about 25% of my job, I'm also responsible for onboarding, development, and yes, hiring. And while I am already feeling badly about the experience you had, I'm feeling ESPECIALLY bad since this is an area that I own.
I would like to deeply apologize for the way that we treated you. My colleagues can attest that timely, accurate, and personal communication is paramount to what I do. I hold the hiring managers that I work with here to extremely high standards. "Treat candidates the way we would want to be treated" is what I say. In this instance, it sounds like we failed to do that.
Since we take this so seriously, I went into our hiring platform in an attempt to assess who this happened to so that I can extend a personal apology, but I can not find anyone that meets the profile that the review details (interviewed in October 2018, the process took six weeks). I am not confident that anyone I saw in our pool meets these criteria so if you are open to it, I would welcome the opportunity to speak further about your experience, either by phone or by email. This would give me the chance to better understand where we as an org went wrong and how we can be better for the future.
No obligation or pressure to speak further but either way, I very much appreciate your feedback and wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
Warm regards,
Greg
